Have you been experiencing fatigue, heavy periods, mood swings, not feeling like yourself, or perhaps you’re wanting to explore pre-conception care, pregnancy or postpartum support? But who should you book in with?

Welcome to Katie Blakely Wellness – a place here to support women just like you. We are here with the mission of Empowering Women With Wellness. Dani & I are both extremely passionate about women’s health. We live and breathe the upcoming research to support women across their entire lifespan – whether that be:

  • supporting hormones in your early 20s
  • preparing for pregnancy
  • pregnancy
  • postpartum
  • motherhood
  • perimenopause and beyond

We are here to support you.

We often have questions come up around ‘which practitioner is right for me’, and wanted to take a moment to highlight just how closely Dani & I work together, and how holistically we support each and every one of our clients in our Women’s Health Clinic in Croydon, Victoria.

What does a consult feel like?

Our consultations at KBW are designed so that there’s time to really talk, and time for any necessary physical examinations (such as blood pressure and pulse). A lot of our clients report that our consultations are the space where they can really talk about what’s going on for them and what’s happening in their bodies, without worrying about something being TMI. It’s also a space where your experience is validated – it doesn’t matter if your blood tests look ‘perfect’, if you’re experiencing a symptom that’s making you feel not quite right, we are here to find answers, find a plan forward and support you.

In each consultation we:

  • Listen to what symptoms you’re experiencing
  • Talk about your other body systems and how they might be impacting your symptoms (for example, if you’re experiencing heavy periods, are you also constipated? The two symptoms are often linked)
  • Talk about your diet – and don’t worry, you can be real – we eat chocolate and have an occasional wine, too!
  • Talk about your lifestyle – what’s working for you at the moment, and what’s feeling really hard?
  • Assess any blood tests, ultrasounds or stool tests
  • Make a plan to move forward

Okay, that all sounds good – but who do I book in with?

Danielle terHaar, Clinical Nutritionist –

Holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine from Endeavour College of Natural Health, Dani brings a truly holistic approach to women’s health. Working with Dani isn’t about being handed a generic meal plan and sent on your way – it’s about being heard, understood, and guided with care and expertise. She takes the time to look at the whole picture: your current health, medical history, lifestyle, and diet, so that together you can uncover what’s really going on in your body.

Dani is especially passionate about supporting women over 40. Her own experience with HPV was the spark that lit her mission – to stand beside women at the stages of life when they most often feel unheard, unsupported, or as if they’re “doing something wrong.” She knows that perimenopause and menopause are so much more than hot flushes. There’s brain fog, exhaustion, weight changes, low mood, heavy periods, and low libido – all of these ‘invisible symptoms’ which are part of the picture too.

Her clients describe her as compassionate, insightful, and thorough. Dani’s goal is always to help you feel like yourself again in this new life phase. To help empower you in this next change of life, with clear goals, support, energy and confidence to thrive.

If you’d like to dive deeper, Dani has created some free resources on perimenopause, designed to help you feel informed and empowered. You can explore them here.

Katie Blakely – Naturopath

I studied a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, however my journey into women’s health started long before that. At 15, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s after months of debilitating fatigue and illness. While thyroid medication helped me return to school and my part-time job, I still felt unwell. That’s when I discovered Naturopathy and the Naturopathic principle that changed everything for me: The Healing Power of Nature.

That discovery not only helped me find my own path to wellness but also shaped the way I now support women. I had once imagined becoming a counsellor or midwife, but Naturopathy gave me a way to combine everything I love: supporting women through their fertility journeys, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond, while still supporting the whole person – body, mind, and spirit.

I feel incredibly privileged to walk alongside women during some of the most transformative times of their lives. Whether it’s preparing for conception, navigating pregnancy, adjusting in the postpartum period, or finding balance in motherhood, I am here to guide, support, and empower you every step of the way.

Collaboration in practice

One of the things that makes our clinic special is the way Dani and I work together. We both want the very best for every woman who walks through our doors, and sometimes that means bringing both of our skill sets into your care.

If you’re working with me and we realise you’d benefit from a more detailed dietary analysis or a practical, easy-to-follow (and delicious) meal plan, I’ll refer you to Dani. Likewise, if you’re working with Dani and she sees that a tailored herbal blend could support your symptoms or help address underlying causes, she’ll send you my way.

This collaborative approach means you don’t just have one practitioner in your corner – you have two. Together, we can combine our knowledge and strengths to give you the most holistic, individualised support possible.
